brown rice salad

My mom wasn't even out of bed yet and I was already asking her if we could make brown rice salad. We got the ingredients at Kroger the day before so I knew we had the stuff. I saw Alton Brown make it on Good Eats! and I wanted to try it because it had a lot of fiber it (my mom is always going on and on about getting enough fiber in my diet). After my first micro bite of the salad, I thought it tasted a bit sour, but I liked it anyway. I would even make it again.

blueberry soda

Guess what I did today? Today I made blueberry soda. It was vaguely sweet. Jack, mom, and I went to Kroger to get blueberries and other ingerdients. At the end we added carbonated water. I tasted it I bearly cloud the sweetness. I liked it. When it was done we shared with our next-door neighbor Sheila and she liked it. Bye, bye.

What my Mom and Dad make me eat ever morning

My Mom and Dad make me eat Frosted Mini Spooners not Frosted Mini Wheats, Frosted Mini Spooners Frosted. Mini Spooners are made by Malt-O-Meal. They shove it down my throat and send me to school. They say it's a good source of fiber. I sort of like it, but it's a long way from enjoying it. ok I admit it I enjoy it.

Mmmmmm, brioche!

Mom and I made a delicious brioche with a few twists and turns. I made the "twists and turns" because I wanted to invent a food that was creamy and orange. I wanted to invent because I like to make stuff. It all started with a search, a simple search. A simple search of creamy and orange. Mom and I found Cooks Illustrated.com. We copied the recipe to a Word document and tweaked it. I turned all the milks to cream and added orange zest to the dough.

In the kitchen Mom and I made the dough and put it in the refrigerator for 12 hours because I had to go to bed. The next day after school Mom and I made the cream cheese filling flavored with sugar and orange zest. Mom rolled the dough thickish flat and we both spread on the filling. Then Mom rolled it up, formed the dough into a ring and baked it.

When it was done we made the icing out of cream and sugar. Then we stirred it together. And at last we poured it on and ate it and it was... delicious brioche!
